Development of a short-term online training course to enhance the digital literacy of secondary 4 students according to the Buddhist Principle of Yonisomanasikara
The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop an online training course to enhance the digital literacy of secondary 4 students according to the Buddhist principle of Yonisomanasikara, and 2) evaluate the use of this training course. The sample group used in phase 1 of the research consisted of 296 teachers and school personnel, 356 parents of secondary 4 students, and their children. They were selected by stratified random sampling. The sample group used in phase 2 of the research consisted of 30 secondary 4 students in a school in Chanthaburi Province in the academic year 2022. They were selected by purposive sampling from schools selected by simple random sampling. The research instruments were: 1) a questionnaire about needs, 2) the online training course, 3) a digital literacy test for assessing cognitive skills, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were: frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. The results of the research were as follows: 1) the online training course to enhance
the digital literacy of secondary 4 students according to the Buddhist principle of Yonisomanasikara was at the high level of appropriateness and had an IOC value of between 0.80-1.00, and 2) the students had a 100% higher score on the digital literacy cognitive test after training than before, and overall the satisfaction of the students was at the very satisfied level.
