Professional standards of school administrators affecting the desirable characteristics in the 21st century of school administrators schools under Chanthaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1
This research aimed to: 1) study the professional standards of school administrators under Chanthaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2) study the desirable characteristics in the 21st century of these administrators, 3) study the relationship between the standards and the desirable characteristics, and 4) create a predictive equation for how the professional standards of school administrators affect their desirable characteristics. The sample was a group of 285 teachers in schools under Chanthaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The size was determined by using Krejcie and Morgan’s tables and proportional stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a 5-level scale questionnaire divided into two parts. Part 1 was about the professional standards of school administrators and had a confidence value of 0.94. Part 2 was about their desirable characteristics and had a confidence value of 0.93. The statistics used in data analysis were: percentage, average, standard deviation, Pearson’s product movement correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis.
