A comparison of mixed media and SQ4R methods in reading comprehension Proficiency of Prathomsuksa 6 Students at Thetsaban Mueang Klung 1 School (Burawithayagan)
This research aimed: 1) to compare mixed media and SQ4R methods in reading comprehension proficiency by testing pre- and post-learning; 2) to study students’ satisfaction with mixed media and SQ4R methods; and 3) to study the effectiveness index of reading comprehension proficiency between pre- and post-learning with mixed media and SQ4R methods. The sample was a group of 60 Prathomsuksa students from Thetsaban Mueang Klung 1 School (Burawithayagan) in the second semester of 2017 and was selected by simple random sampling. The research instruments used were: 1) learning management plan for mixed media and SQ4R methods, 2) student satisfaction questionnaire about mixed media and SQ4R methods, and 3) achievement test for reading comprehension proficiency. The statistics used for data analysis were: mean, standard deviation and t-test.
