The purposes of this research were to study and compare the role of participation in school administration of basic education school committees in Chanthaburi, Rayong and Trat provinces classified by work experience and school size. The sample used in this research included 361 school administrators and teachers in basic education schools in Chanthaburi, Rayong and Trat provinces, selected by using proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument used to collect the data was a 5-rating scale questionnaire. The discrimination was between 0.23 and 0.75, and the reliability was 0.90. The statistics used for data analysis were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) and Scheffs comparison test.
The results showed that: 1) The role of participation in school administration of basic education school committees in Chanthaburi, Rayong and Trat provinces was at a high level overall; 2) The comparative results of the role of participation in school administration of basic education school committees in Chanthaburi, Rayong and Trat provinces, when classified by work experience, was not statistically significant; 3) The comparative results of the role of participation in school administration of basic education school committees in Chanthaburi, Rayong and Trat provinces, when classified by school size, was statistically significant at the .05 level.
