Management of brain-based learning affecting learning achievement and creativity for Primary 4 Students Studying the Concept of Goods and Services in the Economic Learning Area
The purposes of this research were to: 1) compare the learning achievement before and after learning the concept of goods and services using Brain-Based Learning (BBL), 2) compare the learning achievement before and after learning the concept of goods and services using the Traditional Teaching Method (TTM), 3) compare the learning achievement after learning the concept of goods and services between using BBL and TTM, and 4) compare the creative thinking skills after learning the concept of goods and services between using BBL and TTM. The sample of the research were 60 primary 4 students in 2 classes who were studying in the 2nd semester in academic year 2021. They were selected by purposive sampling and were divided into 2 groups using simple random sampling by dividing the classrooms, one being the experimental group, and one being the control group. The employed research instruments were: 1) 10 lesson plans on the concept of goods and services using BBL, 2) 10 lesson plans on the concept of goods and services using TTM, 3) a 20-item multiple choice learning achievement test on the concept of goods and services, and 4) 4 subjective questions that tested the creative thinking skills of students. The statistics used for the data analysis were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test for Dependent Samples, and t-test for two Independent Samples.
