Development of an activity package to improve reading for main idea skills through learning management using SQ4R and CIRC techniques for Mathayomsuksa 2 Students
The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop and find the efficiency of an activity
package to improve reading for main idea skills for Mattayomsuksa 2 students that has an
effectiveness of 80/80, 2) to compare reading for main idea skills both pre and post-learning
through learning management using SQ4R technique, and 3) to compare reading for main idea skills both pre and post-learning through learning management using CIRC technique.
The sample group used in this research was a group of 80 Mattayomsuksa 2 students selected by simple random sampling. The research instruments were: 1) an activity package to improve reading for main idea skills through learning management using SQ4R and CIRC techniques consisting of seven topics, 2) a lesson plan of the activity package to improve reading for main idea skills through learning management using SQ4R technique, 3) a lesson plan of the activity package to improve reading for main idea skills through learning management using CIRC technique, and 4) a test of reading for main idea skills. The data were analyzed using: mean, standard deviation and t-test.
