The purposes of this research were 1) to study the self-directed learning readiness level
of personnel staff in the Office of Agricultural Research and Development Region 6 and other
related departments in Chanthaburi and 2) to compare the self-directed learning readiness level of
personnel staff in the Office of Agricultural Research and Development Region 6 and other
related departments in Chanthaburi. The factors of gender, age, educational levels, and working
experience were investigated in this study. The sample group used in this research consisted of
the 235 government officials and government employees in the Office of Agricultural Research
and Development Region 6 and other related departments in Chanburi on the survey date of
April 2, 2012. The research tools were the questionnaires approved by the technique of
Cronbach’s Alpha showing the reliability coefficients at 0.93. The findings of this research were
also statistically analyzed by percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test and One-Way
Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
