Problems and conflict management in Sub-district Administration Organization between politicians and government officers : A case study of Nong Bua Sub-district Administration Organization, Mueang District, Chanthaburi Province.
The research aimed to study about the causes of problems, types, impacts, and conflict management between a politician and a government officer in the administrative work of Nong Bua Sub-district Administration Organization in Muang District, Chanthaburi. The qualitative research approach was used in this research. The data were collected from the study of document paper, in-depth interview, and participatory observation. The research outcomes were identified about accumulated conflict types between the Chief Executive of Nong Bua Sub-district Administration Organization and the Chief Administrator of Nong Bua Sub-district Administration Organization. The conflicts were caused by the different value of work, communication breakdown in the organization, and conflicts of interest in different job responsibilities. The impact negatively resulted in each individual staff and Nong Bua Sub-district administration Organization itself. The possible conflict management was classified into 4 types : mediation, inquisition, compromise, and negotiation. However, negotiation was considered to be the best conflict management.
