The relationship between 21st century transformational leadership of school administrators and teachers organizational commitment to the network of schools of the La Salle Foundation
Being a transformational leader requires having vision and self-confidence to make decisions as well as being able to see the opportunities in every difficult situation that develops, which will affect the personnel to trust and accept the values of the organization in performing their duties according to the students development and organizational commitment. This research intended to study: 1) the opinion of teachers about the 21st century transformational leadership style of school administrators; 2)the opinion of teachers about teachers organizational commitment to the network of school of the La Salle Foundation; and 3) the opinion of teachers about the relationship between the 21st century transformational leadership style of school administrators and teachers organizational commitment to the network of schools of the La Salle Foundation. The sample was a group of 234 teachers in the network of schools of the La Salle Foundation, in the academic year 2019. The research instrument was a five-level rating scale questionnaire about the relationship between 21st century transformational leadership of school administrators and teachers organizational commitment to the network of schools of the La Salle Foundation. The alpha coefficient was analyzed using the Cronbach method. The reliability of the whole questionnaire was at 0.90. The statistics used for analyzing the data were: percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearsons product moment correlation coefficient.
The results of the study were as follows: 1) the opinion of the teachers in the network of schools of the La Salle Foundation about the 21st century transformational leadership style of school administrators was at the highest level overall; 2) the opinion of the teachers in the network of schools of the La Salle Foundation about organizational commitment of teachers was at a high level overall; and 3) the relationship between the 21st century transformational leadership style of school administrators and teachers organizational commitment to the network of school of the La Salle Foundation was positively correlated at the statistically significant level of .01. The results of the study show that the 21st century transformational leadership style of school administrators and teachers organizational commitment to the network of school of the La Salle Foundation is positively correlated at a high level. Therefore, school administrators can use this information as information to improve and develop their own leadership, which will affect the performance of teachers and will improve the quality of educational reform.
