People is perception and expectation towards roles of Royal Thai Navy in local tourism development : A case study of Sattahip Naval Base Sattahip District, Chonburi Province.
The purposes of this research were to study the perception and expectation of people towards the roles of Sattahip Naval Base in the local tourism development in Sattahip District in Chonburi and to compare the local tourism development roles which people had recognized and the roles which people expected from Sattahip Naval Base. The survey research with the methods of quantitative and qualitative research was integrated in this study. The qualitative interview was used with the sample groups who were 397 local residents under the local administration of Khet Udomsak Municipality in Sattahip District in Chonburi. The research findings revealed that the people is perception towards the roles of Sattahip Naval Base in the local tourism development was overall shown at the moderate level. The people’s expectation towards the roles of Sattahip Naval Base in the local tourism development was overall at the high level. The comparative study of the people’s perception and expectation in the roles of Sattahip Naval Base showed the high level of agreement
