School administrators using the principles of good governance and the professional ethics of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 18
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study level of school administrators using the principles of good governance; 2) to study level of the professional ethics of teachers; 3) to study the relationship between school administrators using the principles of good governance and the professional ethics of teachers. The research sample consisted of 385 teachers from schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 18, in the 2019 academic year. The research instrument was a three-part, five-rating scale questionnaire for school administrators using the principles of good governance and the professional ethics of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 18. The first part collected general information of the respondents. The second part regarding school administrators using the the principles of good governance, contained 60 items with an index of consistency of between 0.60 and 1.00, a discrimination of between 0.21 and 0.77 and reliability of 0.90. The third part regarding the professional ethics of teachers, contained 50 item with an index of consistency of between 0.80 and 1.00, a discrimination of between 0.20 and 0.74 and a reliability of 0.85. The overall reliability was 0.94. By using the software package for data analysis, the statistics used for analyzing the data were: percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient
