Reading comprehension skills are important learning tools for students. Reading practice can also be done outside of class time. Reading skills help students understand the lessons better and are a tool for reviewing the knowledge. They train students to be confident and to be able to
evaluate themselves. The purposes of this research were: I) to develop an efficient method to improve Thai language reading skills to meet a criterion of 80/80, 2) to compare the learning achievement of Thai language reading skills, 3) to measure students’ satisfaction toward these
skills. The sample of a group of 25 Prathomsuksa 3 students in academic year 2017 was randomly selected. The research instruments used were: 1) Thai language reading comprehension skills test, 2) Thai reading comprehension skills test, 3) Thai language lesson plan, and 4) students’ satisfaction survey questionnaire. The statistics used were: mean, standard deviation and t- test.
