การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาให้ทราบถึงระดับการมีส่วนร่วม และปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนในการคัดแยกขยะพลาสติกออกจากขยะชุมชน ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลบ้านเพ จังหวัดระยอง การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้การวิจัยเชิงผสมผสาน (Mixed Method) คืองานวิจัยเชิงสำรวจเพื่อศึกษาระดับการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชน จะใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่าง เป็นประชากรที่มีอายุ 18 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป และอยู่ในทะเบียนราษฎร์ของเทศบาลตำบลบ้านเพ จำนวน 288 คน และเทคนิคสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบ 2 ขั้นตอน ส่วนในการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ทำให้ประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมโดยจะใช้แนวสัมภาษณ์ ทำการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก และอภิปรายกลุ่ม รวมถึงการสังเกตการณ์แบบมีส่วนร่วม

The research was aimed to examine the participation levels and affecting factors towards the public participation in the plastic scrap separation of Ban Phe Sub-district Municipality in Rayong. The mixed method models of the survey and qualitative research were applied to this study. The research populations determined by the two-stage cluster sampling method were the 388 people with over 18 years of age under the civil registration of Ban Phe Sub-district Municipality. The qualitative research methods of the in-depth interviews with the key informants, the focus group discussions, and the participatory observations were used in this study.
