A Study of the Role of Administrators in the Student Care System in Schools under the office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) in Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat Provinces
Student dropout is a major problem that wastes education budgets. The Office of the Vocational Education Commission has promoted a policy to reduce the problem of student dropout by using the students care system with the participation of all parties. The implementation
of the student care system is under the management role of the school administrators. The researcher is interested in studying and comparing the roles of school administrators in implementing the student care system in schools under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) in Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat Provinces. The research sample was
selected by the proportional stratified random sampling method and consisted of 40 school administrators and 248 teachers in schools under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat Provinces. The sample size was determined by Krejcie and Morgan’s table. The instrument used for data collection was a 5-rating scale
questionnaire with the discrimination index of 0.43-0.85 and a reliability of O.97. The statistics used for data analysis were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way analysis of variance and Sheffe’s method of multiple comparison tests.
