In order to develop the desirable characteristics of vocational certificate students, school administrators and teachers should have morals, abide by professional ethics, demonstrate good behavior and have the intellectual skills necessary to prepare students to enter the workforce
according to the needs of society. Therefore, the researcher studied and the desirable characteristics of vocational certificate students in Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat Provinces and compared them according to work experience and location of the school. The sample used in this
study was a group of 288 school administrators and teachers at schools under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat Provinces. The sample size was calculated using Krejcie and Morgan’s equation and stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used to collect the data was a 5-rating scale questionnaire. The discriminative power ranged from 0.50 to 0.88, and the reliability was 0.97. The statistics used for data analysis were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA. The pair differences were double-checked using Sheffe’s test.
