Opinions of business entrepreneurs involved in Cross-Border trade in the Asian Economic Community : a case study of the Thailand-Cambodia Border Area in Chanthaburi Province
The research aimed to study opinions of business entrepreneurs regarding business difficulties and recommendations for improving business involved in cross-border trade in the Thailand-Cambodia border area in Chanthaburi Province. The mixed method approach of quantitative and qualitative research was used in this study. The sample of 100 survey respondent for the quantitative portion of the research was comprised of 50 business entrepreneurs from the Soi Dao district and 50 business entrepreneurs from the Pong Nam Ron district of Chanthaburi Province. The research tools included questionnaires and descriptive statistics. The quantitative research portion of the research included document review and in-depth interviews with key informants including: business entrepreneurs in the border area of Soi Dao District and Pong Nam Ron District, the committee of the Chanthaburi Chamber of Commerce and personnel from related government sectors and local administrative organizations.
