The objectives of this research were to study the needs of social welfare services and the factors that influenced the needs for the social welfare services for small farmers within the area of Muang district, Chanthaburi. The research had been conducted by employing the Mixed method in which there was a use of a simple random survey technique as well as the use of the qualitative research approaches that include a method of group interview and in-depth interview. The findings obtained from the research were that the majority of the sample who were members of a small farmer
group required key social welfare services including the loans for their children is education, the annual health check, the repair service for their damaged accommodation, the promotions for their products of both domestic and international markets, the price-guarantee schemes for their
product, and the sport gym as well as a recreational area. The factors that influenced the needs for social welfare services were as follows; the problems of the incomes and expenses of farmers households and the problems related to their health and hygiene.
