A successful leader not only depends on the emotional quotient but also on knowing how to use emotional quotient to persuade others to cooperate in working until achieving the required goals. The emotional quotient is one of the important characteristics for the school administrators in acknowledging their colleagues’ needs, having positive thinking towards the world and being able to control their emotion in any situation appropriately, which will help increase effectiveness in working. Emotional quotient under Chanthaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office classified according to working experience and size of the schools. The sample used in this research was a group of 341 school administrators and teachers under Chanthaburi Primary Educational Service Area Office. The sample size was calculated using Krejcie and Morgan’s comparison table and proportionate stratified random sampling method. The research instrument was a five-level rating scale questionnaire with a reliability of 0.97. The statistics used for data analysis were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test and One-way ANOVA.
