This dissertation aimed to: 1) study the provisions relating to Illegal
Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU Fishing) including their effects on Thailand, 2) investigate the impacts on Thailand’s fisheries caused by the enforcement of laws under IUU Fishing, 3) compare the measures relating to IUU Fishing in other countries, and 4) suggest the legal measures to promote sustainable fisheries in Thailand. An interdisciplinary qualitative research methodology was used in this study which included documentary research, fieldwork, and in-depth interviews with the key informants that were used as the data collection techniques.
