This dissertation aimed to: 1) study the gaps between the UI Green Metric
standard and the actual conditions of Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, 2) study the factors affecting Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University being a green university, and 3) present a strategic conceptual model for sustainable development of a green university in the future. This dissertation used interdisciplinary research with qualitative research methods including documentary research and interviews. The findings were as follows: 1) there were some gaps between the UI GreenMetric standard and the actual conditions of Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University which
could be divided into 4 main areas: (1) educational management, (2) space
management, (3) community management, and (4) cultural management; 2) for the factors which affect Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University being a green university, it consisted of 6 elements: (1) commitment of leaders, (2) creation of a network of green university partners, (3) participation, (4) education and learning, (5) research integration, and (6) performance management; and 3) the strategies for developing a sustainable green university in the future should focus on: a strategy for planning
green infrastructure and landscape, a strategy for managing sustainable education, a strategy for building community networks for the environment, a strategy for growing awareness of green organizational culture, a strategy for integrating with research and innovation and transferring knowledge for sustainable local development, a strategy for developing learning centers and academic services for sustainable local development, and a strategy for lifelong education.
