Local resident’s opinions towards solutions for coping with wild elephant problem in the Thailand-Cambodia border area : a case study of Bo Rai district, Trat province
This research was aimed to study local residents’s opinions on causes of and solutions to wild elephant problems in the Thailand-Cambodia border area in Bo Rai District Trat province. The mixed method approach combining quantitative research and qualitative research was used in this study. In the quantitative research, the 396 qualified voters were questionnaire respondents. In the qualitative research, in-depth interviews with officials from the government sector and residents from the citizen sector who have experiences in wild elephant solutions was applied to this study.
