The research entitled “Problems and Measures in Local Civil Society Organization Development: a Case Study of Veracity Saving Group in Trat Province” aimed to study and find the problems, causes, and measures in the work operation of Trat Veracity Saving Group. The mixed method of research methodology of the quantitative and qualitative research were employed in this study. The survey and in-depth interview with the 167 veracity saving groups was used to collect the research data. The findings identified that the current major problem of the veracity saving group was members debts. The next problem was the fringe benefit was not sufficiently provided for each member. Another problem was the group committee did not cooperatively work based on the participatory work operation. The causes were each member is consumption behavior reflecting their social consumerism. The individual members did not effectively increase their own income resulting from the group committee focusing on supporting their own family members and partisans. The measures to develop the veracity saving
group were to promote the self-sufficiency way of life to each member, efficiently raise commercial work operation, and reinforce more participation from each member.
