Promoting efficient management systems according to the principles of good governance in Schools under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Chonburi Rayong
This research aimed to: 1) examine the level of promotion of efficient management systems based on the principles of good governance in schools under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Chonburi Rayong, 2) compare staff perceptions regarding the promotion of efficient management systems based on these governance principles in these schools, and 3) propose guidelines for promoting efficient management systems based on these principles in these schools. The study employed a mixed-methods approach. For the quantitative phase, the sample was comprised of 354 teachers from schools under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Chonburi Rayong. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.89. Statistical analyses included: percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearsons correlation coefficient, Cronbachs alpha coefficient, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews with 12 school administrators and a focus group discussion with 5 administrators who were not part of the in-depth interview group. These participants were selected from schools that achieved an AA rating (95-100 points) in the 2023 fiscal year Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA). The criteria for selecting key informants were as follows: 1) a minimum of 3 years of experience as a school administrator, 2) involvement in governance-based management for at least 2 years, and 3) willingness to provide information or participate in follow-up interviews if necessary. Data was analyzed using content analysis, triangulation, expert review, and descriptive presentation.
